Some of you have probably already heard of PJ64k, it's basically just an N64 emulator with netplay enabled, so you can play online games of 64 multiplayer games such as Mario Kart, Turok, Mortal Kombat, Goldeneye, or my favorite, Super Smash Bros.
You can download Project64K here (http://emulationrealm.net/modules/wfdownloads/singlefile.php?cid=65&lid=168). Extract the files into a single folder wherever that is titled PJ64k or something similar.
In order to make the netplay actually work, you'll probably be needing a .dll file that goes with it. Download that plugin here (http://www.filestube.com/f180170f681e539803e9/go.html). Place that file in the 'plugins' folder of the P64k folder, and delete the one named "jabo_direct3D7". Rename "jabo_direct3D8" to "jabo_direct3D7" (leaving the .dll extension on obviously, this effectively replaces the old plugin) and the netplay should work just fine.
When joining an actual match, you'll notice everybody's connection type (set either to 'bad', 'poor', 'good', 'excellent', or 'LAN' (the most common setting)) next to their name. Your connection type must match the host's type or you will not be able to join the game nor will the host be able to start it to begin with. You can change your connection type in the lower right corner of the netplay screen, but you must exit the server and reenter for the change to take effect (just keep it on LAN, most people I've seen play on LAN).
Hope we can all get together for some kind of N64 night or something sometime, cheers all.
