In the UK we have some erm.... crap festivals. Monsters of Rock used to be awesome, but was ruined when it was turned into "Download" festival. Load of crap.

It is only up the road from where I live (sort of - pay attention Corn), and I worked there one year when Metallica headlined.

Anyway Reading and Leeds festival is twaddle, Glastonbury - crap. Basically we don't have the weather, and the acts are a bit lame.

In the US however you can be out in the sun getting skin cancer and be at OzFest.

For those of you that prefer something less metal, there is something that used to be held in a national park.

Cloud Factory Collective for the Arts is a group that organize an outdoor festival in the US, it is a festival featuring DJs and ambient music. Generally they are all night gigs and everyone camps and sleeps during the day.

I came across this about 5 years ago and recent rediscovered the link when sorting some stuff.

I like some of the tracks, but as they are recorded outdoors and there is no other info available, then it is hard to work out what tracks have actually been merged together.

The main section I was interested in was OODEVI

Here is one I have downloaded and listened to.

There is another I have and when I find it I will set a challenge. There are two tracks on there that I don't know the artist - I will find out the place in the track and challenge you to name them.

For now, something different music wise, hope you like it.

There really only was one Monsters of Rock - Donnington Park (the race track), UK. I used to have a tee-shirt for the 1982 Donnington, headlining were erm..... Status Quo :D I was 6 at the time and had just moved back from Germany, so I don't think I would have been that interested.

My brother went to the one with Iron Maiden headlining, also Wasp (hmmm.....), Danzig and The Almighty, think Thunder might have been there as well.
