I now got a new DSL modem / Router and it's a SpeedTouch 780wl. It's working just fine, no problems there...

Now I want to set-up my old router (Linksys WRT54GL) as a wireless bridge on my room. It's running the DD-WRT fireware (V2.4 Sp1). I found a guide on how to set it up and run through it and it seems to work, right until the moment I actually want to connect to the internet. I got it linked to the speedtouch, the speedtouch has got wds enabled, but it can't seem to find the linksys as a wireless access point. I can ping the speedtouch from a computer that's connected to the linksys only, but can't ping from the a computer that's behind the speedtouch to the linksys...

I've tried turning wireless encryption off, but that didn't make much of a difference.

If anyone has any ideas/thoughts/suggestions, that'd be much appreciated!

Your nearly there by the sounds of it. Try turning off any firewalls on your PC's. Security suites are famous for killing networks. See how that goes and let us now. :) Turn the DHCP of in the linksys as well

DHCP & Firewall in the linksys are switched off already, but thanks for the tip :)

I will try and see if switching the firewall off in the speedtouch does the trick, haven't tried that yet :)

Any preferred time Erik? I'm not sure I'll be able to work on it tonight, should have time tomorrow night...

Change one setting in the linksys (set it to router instead of gateway) and it seems to work just fine now!

Even the thought of calling me makes you scared and then you start thinking. See what has become. Problem solved. hyst hyst hyst. I just hacked my modem today (provided by my ISP ALICE) and guess what, I increase the speed up to 22 MB. HaHaHa while I'm paying for 20 MB and got only 18 MB.

I love technology.

That's because you always scream at me and threaten to hack my system... hyst Thanks for the offer anyway!

I found out about that option whilst I spend a few more moments googl'ing on the subject :)
