After hours and hours of sweaty, emotional, confusing and overall thorough work, I've released my first ever complete map pack to the public!


This pack is my Recon pack, containing 3 maps for the standard weapon CTF player. Below is a description of each map, and a little tactic for each.

CTF-Tactical

The medium sized arena of the three, tactical features 2 symmetrical bases and a small collection of creeks and various wild growth. The secret to Tactical is just that, choosing what tactic to pick. You can decide to have some balls and tackle the map head on, hide behind the scenes and take the underwater route, or ninja your way into the side of the base.

CTF-Speed

The name says it all again in Speed Arena. Built specifically for the occasional small CTF map player, this map is a scaled down version of it's sisters featuring 3 different ways to approach the flag. Speed is all about getting into the base, and getting out without getting killed. Fraggers will be at a disadvantage here.

CTF-Narrow

The biggest of the three maps, Narrow once again gives the player a multitude of ways to storm the enemy base. However, there's no way to sneak in around the sides. Fraggers will be at home here, as the tactic here is to face the enemy head on and rush the base. Each base does feature a myriad of hills for the shy campers, along with some sniper structures located midfield.

Of course, errors are made, mistakes are overlooked, but that's what testing is for, right?



Preliminary Errors

Speed

Players spawn in with enemy flag at base
Base textures are reversed (red base looks blue)

Narrow

Elevators in towers at each base do not respond, flag cannot be captured.
No actual water is in the pool at the central tower.
One respawn point short at blue base, player is telefragged.

Tactical

Nothing besides it being difficult to beat bots at. That just means it's working though.

These errors are easy to correct, and I'll get right on that, and possibly give Narrow a more arctic look.
