I have connected to this server in the past but I've been having trouble connecting the last few weeks. I am able to connect to other servers i.e. OMA, AOD, XXEliteXX and the like but I am no longer able to connect here. I get the connecting to (whatever map is being played at the time) screen, but it never goes blue and connects. Things I have tried - deleted my log file, cleared the .tmp files from my cache, renamed the cache file and UT created a new one and D/L'd all new stuff from your server, tried a known good UT.ini and User.ini files with still no luck. I have had a similar problem in the past where a small file on the redirect will not decompress properly and it causes the connection issue. Usually one of the above remedies solves the issue, but not this time. I suspect it may be the Krusty the Klown file, as it is the last file D/L'd and it appears quite small. Any thoughts on what I can do to clear this up?
Thanks for your help
Cheers!
Mike

I'll check into it. The UTDC file may have corrupted not allowing Mac and Linux clients in. I'll also go thru the redirect files and check for corruptions. Have a good one.

Do you play under skuller on the server? The log isn't even showing you trying to connect if you are. Is both our public servers or just the Full-Auto?

Yes... as Skuller. I tried to connect Tuesday evening between 7:30 and 8:30pm EST US, Again it D/L'd a few components and Krusty the Klown, switched to "connecting to IP addy and the map name" and then just hung there for aprox 3-5 min. I check the multiplayer menu and the "disconnect from server" menu is grey'd out... meaning I cannot select to D/C. I then switched over to the OMA server and connected successfully. I'll try again a few times today. (Sat) Thanx for looking into this!!!

I tried this morning at 8:58 am EST. The map playing was BigCityMayhem. I tried to connect several times... each time checking my cache file for new .tmp files and each time there was a new one. I opened it in a notepad type program (Simple Text on the Mac) and the title of that .tmp is KrustyTheKlown. I clipped a bit out and pasted it below for you viewing pleasure. Again thanx for your help!!!

Thought... Is it possible to email me the decompressed version of this Krusty file? I could install it in whichever folder it needs to go to and try to connect again.

Here is the decompressed files for the Krusty The Klown Voicepack. I can't help but feel it's something else that is failing to initialize after the Krusty files, but give this a try. Do you have TS? If this fails, I may need you to join me on TS or MSN (TS is prefered) so we can narrow this down. If you can't get into the servers, that means there may be others, as well, that can't either so this is a priority. The down load link is below. Talk to you soon and I'm sorry that this is occurring.

The .uax goes in the sounds folder and the .u and .int files go into the system folder. I'm sure you know this but I give this info just in case.

Maybe so... not sure this will fix either, however worth the try so I'll give it a shot... .u and .int to system and .uax to sounds I trust?
No Teamspeak client for the damn mac... so msn or phone or something. We'll work it out.
Thanks

Actually, they do have a client for Mac. A member of a clan I belonged too used it without any troubles at all. As a matter of fact, he always gave shit about how Macs were better because of it. Here is the link.

Excellent...!!! It worked. I installed the files and connected right in. Played on Checkmate, a bit laggy but that map lags on most servers I've played on...Thanks for sending the files. As I mentioned earlier I've seen this sort of thing b4 but, never so relentless. Always with small files too.
I'll check out that TS link and see if I can get it to work, and keep the forum posted.
Thanks again for all your help... see you on-line tonight.

Cool. I'm glad we got this resolved. I wonder why it affects Mac clients differently? I had deleted the Krusty files and reconnected without issue this morning. Very strange. I'm going to the UT99 gods at unrealadmin.org and posting this question. See if they have an answer. Have a good one.

Yeah... that teamspeak is for the Mac OS X operating system. Unfortunetly this computer is so old I cannot get UT to run stable enough for on-line play under that OS. I have to reboot to an older OS (9.2.2) to play. Kinda sux, but thats the way it is until I get enough dough for a new box.
Thanx for the support
Cheers
